Event overview
The Naked Mountain Ultra takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Morrow Mountain State Park in Albemarle, NC. The event offers multiple distances:
- 50 Miler
- 25 Mile
- 10 Miler
Registration closes on Wednesday, March 4 at 11:59 PM ET. Parking is at the Morrow Mountain Pool Parking Lot, with signs directing entrants into the park. The park contains 32 miles of trail and the race course loops the park while traversing four of the park's mountain peaks.
Course, support and rules
The 50 Mile event has a 15 hour cutoff and requires runners to have completed and started their second lap by the 7.5 hour mark in order to continue. The 25 and 10 Mile events are allowed to take the day to finish. There will be at least four aid stations offering hot and cold food, gels, and snacks. Huma Gel is listed as the event hydration partner; registered runners will receive a code in confirmation emails for free Huma product to try. Pacers are allowed for the 50 Mile after the runner completes the first lap. Crew members may be positioned on course provided they do not interfere with other participants.
