Jingle Bell Jaunt Fun Run, Mount Gilead
The Chi Sigma Club of Mt. Gilead organizes the 6th Annual Jingle Bell Jaunt Fun Run on December 5, 2026, as part of the Christmas on the Square festivities in Mount Gilead, North Carolina. The event offers community-focused running options, festive costume prizes, participant swag, and post-race treats. The club is a registered 501(c)(3) and reports that 100% of proceeds benefit the Shop with a Cop program.
Two course options use the same loop around Mt. Gilead:
- 1.5 miles, one loop
- 3.1 miles, two loops
Timing is provided by Junction 311. Registration opens September 7, 2026 and closes December 5, 2026; fees listed by the organizer are $25 for the 1.5 mile and $35 for the 3.1 mile. T-shirts are available but will not be guaranteed for registrations submitted after November 29. Awards and packet pick-up details are pending.
Facilities and access notes from the organizer: porta johns will be available on N. Main St, and parking will be at First United Methodist Church, 100 N. Main St, Mount Gilead, NC 27306. The pre-race meet up location is the church front yard near the corner of N. Main St and E. Allenton St. Children 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
