Stomp The Stigma is a community 5K run and walk scheduled for May 29 2027 in Patchogue. The course is USATF certified and the event includes post race water and refreshments.
Amenities listed for the event include fruit, water and healthy snacks, an award ceremony, a 50/50 raffle (cash only), various raffle baskets with multiple payment options, and pre and post race chair massage provided by Naturopathica Spa and Healing Arts Center. Live online, email and text results will be available, along with free video and same day finish line photos. Additional photos are posted on social media.
Awards include cash gift card prizes for the top overall finishers and age group prizes. Top overall prizes include a cash gift card and a store gift card for first place, with smaller cash gift cards for second through fourth overall. Age group prizes are listed for male and female categories across standard age brackets from 15 and under through 80 plus.
Proceeds benefit the Elly CARES Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The event will host a drive to support a local food bank and free food pantry; suggested donations include non perishable food items, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene products.
A bib pick up event is scheduled for Thursday May 28 at Tap Room, 114 W. Main St., Patchogue from 5 PM to 7 PM. Virtual bibs are shipped with a shipping window from one week prior to one week after the event. Registration is not yet open and will open before the event date.
