Stomp The Stigma 5K Run/Walk 2027
Stomp The Stigma is a community 5K event scheduled for May 29, 2027 in Patchogue. The course is USATF certified and the event offers post-race water and refreshments, including fruit and healthy snacks. A formal award ceremony follows the race.
Amenities include pre and post race chair massage provided by a local spa, a 50/50 cash raffle, and multiple raffle baskets donated by local businesses and restaurants. Results are provided live online, by email and text, and the event supplies free video and same-day finish line photos. Miscellaneous event photos are shared on the organizer's Facebook page.
Prize awards are listed for overall finishers and age groups. Overall top prizes include cash gift cards and store gift cards, and age-group prizes are awarded across multiple age brackets from 15 and under through 80 plus.
Proceeds benefit the Elly CARES Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The event also hosts a drive to support a local food bank and free food pantry; requested items include nonperishable food, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene products.
Bib pickup is scheduled the evening before at Tap Room, 114 W. Main St., Patchogue, where a portion of sales will support the beneficiary.
