Stomp The Stigma 5K Run/Walk - Patchogue, NY

Stomp The Stigma 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for May 29, 2027 in Patchogue, New York. Registration is not yet open and is planned to open ahead of the event date. The event offers both an in-person and a virtual option; virtual race packets are shipped within a window from one week before the event to one week after.

The course is USATF certified and post-race amenities include water, fruit, and healthy snacks. An award ceremony follows the race. Additional on-site offerings noted for the event include a 50/50 raffle (cash only), various raffle baskets from local businesses with Venmo, PayPal, and cash accepted, and pre- and post-race chair massage provided by Naturopathica Spa & Healing Arts Center.

Awards for overall finishers include gift card payouts for the top male and female finishers: first place receives a $100 cash gift card plus a $50 Sayville Running Co. gift card; second place receives a $50 cash gift card plus a $50 Sayville Running Co. gift card; third place receives a $50 cash gift card; and fourth place receives a $25 cash gift card. Prizes are also awarded to the top male and female in these age groups: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus.

Proceeds benefit the Elly CARES Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The event includes a drive to support a local food bank and requests donations of nonperishable food items, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene products.

An early bib pickup and fundraiser is scheduled for Thursday, May 28 at Tap Room, 114 W. Main St., Patchogue, where 30 percent of sales will support the beneficiary. Race-day bib pickup processes include a self lookup area for participants who do not know their bib number; registrants within 24 hours of bib pickup may receive rapid bib number notification.
