About the race
Stomp The Stigma 5K Run/Walk is a community road event in Patchogue on May 29, 2027. The course is USATF certified and the event offers post-race refreshments including fruit, water and healthy snacks. Event amenities include race-day water and refreshments, an award ceremony, a 50/50 cash-only raffle, various raffle baskets from local businesses and pre and post race chair massage provided by a local spa and healing arts center. Live online, email and text results are provided, along with same-day finish line photos and free video. Awards are offered for overall top finishers and age-group winners.
Overall prizes include cash gift cards and running store gift cards for the top finishers, and age-group prizes are given across standard age brackets from 15 and under through 80 and over. Proceeds benefit Elly CARES Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The event will host a drive to support a local food bank and free food pantry; requested donations include non-perishable food, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene products. Bib pickup is scheduled for Thursday, May 28 at Tap Room, 114 W. Main St., Patchogue, with a portion of sales donated to Elly CARES Project.
