Stiperstones Fell Race
The Stiperstones Fell Race is scheduled for 9 July 2025 and is listed as provisional. The event is organised by Mercia and uses Snailbeach as the base for registration and the race route.
Registration takes place in Snailbeach village hall (SY5 0NX). On-the-day registration is available; pre-entry is offered through the SI Entries website for a lower fee. Entry fees are £7 for pre-entry and £10 on the evening. Registration on the day is run from the village hall.
The course is a single fell race of 6.7 km with approximately 375 m of total ascent and is classified AS. The route matches the 2022 course. It departs from Snailbeach, follows a steady climb to the top of the Stiperstones, descends the first section of Perkins Beach, crosses Crowsnest Dingle and returns over fields back to Snailbeach.
Organisers request sensitive parking either in the football club area just before the village hall or at the village hall. The event supports local charities and makes contributions to Natural England as the landowner of the Stiperstones. The organiser states that cancellations or refunds cannot be offered.
