Stinson Lake 5K Run/Walk

The Stinson Lake 5K Run/Walk is a community fundraiser for the Stinson Lake Association Lake Host Program. The event includes an in-person 5K and a virtual option, and the in-person field is capped at 250 participants.

Location and course: the in-person race is based at White Mountain Ranch beach (formerly Happy T Ranch), 75 Ranch Rd, Rumney, NH 03266. The course is approximately 3.1 miles, mostly paved, on Stinson Lake Road. It is an out and back route that starts and finishes on a dirt road (Ranch Rd) with a turnaround at the Stinson Lake public boat ramp.

Registration and fees: registration opens January 1, 2027. Early bird registration is $30 per person through July 21 and includes a T-shirt. Regular online registration is $35 per person from July 22 through August 18; T-shirts are not guaranteed. Last-minute and race-day registration is $40 per person, cash or check only, available in person at specified times and locations. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at the Stinson Lake Association Community Building. Families, groups, or teams of four or more receive a $5 discount per person when registered together in one transaction.

Awards and community features: overall top three men and women, gender age-group winners across multiple age categories up to 80 plus, team awards, and a Team Challenge with categories such as Largest Team, Fastest Team, Top Fundraiser, Biggest Age Gap, and Best Team Spirit. Community course signs can be sponsored for $100 each with options like Family Mile, Memorial Mile, or custom encouragement messages.

Proceeds support the Lake Host Program and efforts to protect Stinson Lake water quality. Organizers are seeking sponsors, raffle donations, volunteers, and committee members to support the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
