Event overview
The Krampuslauf is held at the Dartmouth Skiway in Lyme, NH (39 Grafton Turnpike Rd). The event offers the following race options:
- 5K
- 10K
- 9-hour timed event

Course and format
Races start at the base of the mountain at the ski lodge. The 5K uses Holt’s side of the mountain. The 10K is a loop that combines the Holt and Winslow 5K courses. The 9-hour event consists of repeated 10K loops; runners complete as many full 10K laps as they can within the 9-hour window.
Runners pass the lodge on the Winslow side; there is indoor access near the trail for drop bags. Drop areas are provided with no fixed space size specified.
Laps are recorded on a board in the pit area; runners mark time in and out. A lap only counts after crossing the finish line; the lodge door is about 100 yards from the finish. For placement in timed events, time is used as a tiebreaker when runners finish the same number of laps.
Awards and tracking
After completing the first 10K lap, each runner receives a 10K medal. Subsequent laps earn Race Mozey pins to add to the medal lanyard. After five laps (50K) the medal is upgraded to a 50K medal; pins continue to be awarded for additional laps. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
