About Krampuslauf

The Krampuslauf is a running event inspired by the Central European tradition of the Krampus Run, where people dress up as the folklore figure Krampus. The event offers three race formats. Participants can choose a single 5K loop, a single 10K loop, or attempt to complete as many 10K laps as possible within a 9-hour time limit.

Event Details

The event takes place at the Dartmouth Skiway in Lyme, New Hampshire. The 5K course is on the Holt's side of the mountain. The 10K course consists of the Holt's side and the Winslow side. Runners participating in the 9-hour lap format will run both sides and have a designated drop area at the start/finish.

Finishers of the single 5K or 10K events receive a finisher medal. Participants in the 9-hour lap event receive specialty pins for each 10K lap completed and a 50K medal if they reach that distance. A portion of the event's proceeds benefits Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
