Stigma Stomp: Event overview
Stigma Stomp is a community run and walk held at the Currituck County Extension Center next to the Currituck YMCA in Barco, NC, at 120 Community Way. The event raises awareness for mental health and suicide prevention and includes in-person and virtual participation options.

- 3.1 Miles 5K in person
- 1 Mile Free and Fun 1 Mile
- 3.1 Miles Virtual 5K option
There is no pre race day check in; packet pickup takes place on race morning at the start and finish area. Parking and restrooms are available on site. The course is stroller and carriage friendly. Service animals only are permitted.
All participants receive a T shirt, a finisher medal, chip timing, light refreshments after finish, and a commemorative wristband. A memory board will be available for notes or pictures in memoriam. Guest speakers and memorial boards will be on hand. Opportunities to volunteer or make a donation are part of the event.
Registration fees listed by the organizer are: Adult $38, Teen $30, Ages 6 to 12 $25, 5 and under no fee, Virtual $38. The stated goals include education, awareness, crisis intervention assistance, and forming partnerships with like minded organizations in a Christian spirit and support.
