Event Overview
The Lighthouse 5k Series event is a summer race taking place at the Whalehead Club in Corolla, North Carolina. This marks the 16th annual running of the series.
Event Distances
Participants can choose between two distances:
- A 5k race
- A 1 Mile race
Location & Registration
The race starts and finishes in front of the historic Whalehead Club mansion, located at 1100 Club Road in Corolla. The venue is within Historic Corolla Park. Parking is available onsite, as are restroom facilities. Registration is open on race morning, and packet pickup and check-in for pre-registered runners is also available before the start.
Participant Information
All entries include an event t-shirt, a finisher medallion, and chip timing. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers overall, the first male and female masters (over 40), and the first male and female youth finishers (14 & under). The event welcomes walkers and strollers and describes itself as a family-friendly event. Service dogs are permitted, but no other pets are allowed.
