Event details
The Steamboat Springs Turkey Trot takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Steamboat Springs, CO. The event is a 5K race, run and walk that starts and ends at Steamboat Springs High School and travels to Strawberry Park and back. The event benefits the Steamboat Springs High School Track & Field and Cross Country programs. The course is open to traffic; racers are asked to stay on the left side of the road on the shoulder toward the turnaround and cross over to the left side on the return. Police will support the intersection of Maple and Amethyst, and the event will have a lead biker and rolling car support.
Logistics, entry and awards
Pre-registration fees are age based; day-of registration is available with adjusted pricing. Packet pick-up is scheduled for Wednesday, November 26 at the high school (details TBA). Parking is available in the main high school lot west of the main entrance; restrooms are in the commons or at the north athletic entrance. Non-perishable food donations for Lift Up Food Bank will be collected near the finish. Donations for Ukraine relief and medical supplies will also be accepted; checks may be made payable to Steamboat Track and Field or donations made via the race site. Results and timing are provided by Kandu Timing. Awards include 1st-3rd place overall adult and youth divisions, masters 60+ awards, kids 6-10 awards, ribbons for youth 10 and under, costume awards and a raffle drawing.
