The Steamboat Marathon
The Steamboat Marathon takes place in Steamboat Springs, Colorado on 06/06/2027 and marks the event's 46th anniversary. The course follows sections of Country Road 129 and runs alongside the Elk River, with views of the Rocky Mountains. The Kids Fun Run is a half mile on a paved road that starts and finishes at the courthouse in downtown Steamboat Springs. The Fun Run is open to children 5 years and older; all participating children receive a ribbon and a BAR-U-EAT bar.
Registration details for the main races open on 09/08/2026 and close on 12/31/2026. Posted registration fees are $130.00 for the Marathon, $110.00 for the Half Marathon, and $65.00 for the 10K. Fun Run registration is free, opens on 09/08/2026, and closes on 06/05/2027; on-site registration for the Fun Run takes place on race day at the BAR-U-EAT tent on 6th between Oak and Lincoln.
