Howelsen Hill Trail Run
The Howelsen Hill Trail Run is a trail race held at Howelsen Hill in Steamboat Springs. The event features routes on the single track trails of Emerald Mountain with abundant aspen and seasonal wildflowers. Proceeds from the race are donated to the Knights of Columbus.
Beginning at Olympian Hall, the course follows a loop on Emerald Mountain. The route starts on the Bluff's trail, climbs on the Lupine trail, and finishes downhill via MGM and the Meadow trail to the base of the Howelsen Hill Ski Area. All running is on marked trails and one main aid station is located at the top of the climb. Participants are encouraged to carry their own hydration to help reduce cup waste.
