Spirit Challenge Run for Autism
The Spirit Challenge Run for Autism takes place Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Steamboat Springs Middle School in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The event is part of the Steamboat Springs Running Series and offers three distances:
- 10k
- 5k
- Kid's Fun Run 800m
All races are on paved roads except the 5k, which includes a short section on trail. The 10k follows a rolling out and back route through Strawberry Park. The 5k begins in the middle school parking lot and uses local roads, a short trail section, and neighborhood streets. The Kid's Fun Run is an 800 meter course comprising two laps around the school track.
One aid station is provided at the 10k turnaround. There is parking available in the school lot. Leashed pets are allowed at the event. Awards for first, second and third place male and female finishers will be presented following the race near the start and finish area. Every participant is entered in a prize raffle that follows the awards. Proceeds from the event benefit the Yampa Valley Autism Program.
