Stately Trails: Constable Burton

Stately Trails at Constable Burton Hall takes place on estate grounds in Leyburn, North Yorkshire. The event offers the following options:

  • 5km
  • 10km
  • 5km walk

The course is a single 5km lap; the 10km uses a second lap with a slight alteration for variety. Surfaces include pasture fields, farm tracks and woodland. A stream crossing is on the route where a bridge is available or participants can cross through the water. Sections may be muddy and uneven; trail shoes are recommended.

Course marking includes orange barrier tape, orange pin flags and coloured arrow signs. Critical turns and road crossings will be marshalled, and a route map is recommended in case markings are moved or removed. One water station serves the 10km at the start of the second lap; 5km runners receive water at the finish. Toilets are available at the hall and parking is provided in an estate field that may hold livestock and could be muddy.

No specific mandatory kit is required for this event. Registration is located in front of the main hall where bibs and any preordered mementos are collected. Age limits apply: 11 and over for the 5km, 16 and over for the 10km. Entrant numbers are capped at 200. All entry prices include a £1 donation to the National Park for footpath upkeep.
