Event

Stately Trails: Constable Burton takes place on 14 May 2026 at Constable Burton Hall in Leyburn, North Yorkshire. The event offers the following distances:

  • 5km run or walk
  • 10km run

Entries are limited to 200 runners. Age limits are 13 or older for the 5km and 16 or older for the 10km. Entry fees include a £1 donation to the National Park. An optional coaster-medal is available for an extra £3.50. Finishers can order a hot dog with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options if selected during entry. Additional post-race food for spectators can be ordered with entry.

Course and race details

Both routes use trails through the estate, across pasture fields, farm tracks and woodland. The 5km is a single lap. The 10km uses the 5km lap plus an altered second lap for variety. The course may be muddy and uneven in places and includes a stream crossing with an optional bridge.

The route will be marked with orange tape, pin flags and coloured arrow signs. Critical turns and road crossings will be marshalled. Organisers advise carrying a copy of the route map in case markings are moved or removed.

Trail shoes are recommended. There is no mandatory kit for this event.

Facilities

Parking is provided on an estate field that may be muddy and is a working field. Toilets are available at Race HQ. One water station serves the 10km at the start of the second lap; 5km runners can access water at the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
