Stars & Stripes VeteRun 5K
The Stars & Stripes VeteRun is a road running event held on November 11, 2026 at Stewart Lodge in Mendon Ponds Park. The distance is 5K (3.1 miles). A virtual option runs November 10 through November 12, allowing participants to run or walk a 5K course of their choosing and submit times.
A portion of proceeds will support Honor Flight Rochester. In-person entries include electronic RFID timing, a race bib, live results posted online, a printable finisher certificate, and a premium blend cotton t-shirt for those registered by October 25, 2026; shirts after that date are available while supplies last. Virtual entries receive live results, a printable finisher certificate, a digital bib, and the same t-shirt policy.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Fleet Feet at The Armory and on race day at Stewart Lodge; participants may pick up packets for others. In-person registration closes on November 10 and virtual registration closes on November 8. The event organizers state the date, location, and format may change or be canceled and that refunds, transfers, or deferrals are not permitted unless stated otherwise.
The 5K course is an out-and-back on park roads that remain open to traffic, so participants are asked to remain against traffic. Parking is available within Mendon Ponds Park at the Beach Lot off Douglas Road and participants are asked not to park on the grass. Awards are given for overall male and female and for age group placings, with an awards ceremony held at Stewart Lodge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
