Dirt Cheap Stage Race presented by Darn Tough Vermont
The Dirt Cheap Stage Race is a three-day trail running event held at Mendon Ponds Park in Mendon, NY on November 13–15, 2026. The event comprises three separate trail races run over consecutive days, with overall series scoring available.
Stages and distances include:
- 3 miles Pond Road time trial; headlamps required if racing in the dark.
- 5.5 miles Devils Bathtub trail with a stair climb finish.
- 11 miles Longer stage covering much of Mendon Ponds Park trails.
Registration windows and fees are published per stage and for the full series. The series entry fee and individual stage fees are listed by the organizer. A participant cap may be implemented. Parking is restricted to specified lots on each day and roadside parking is not permitted.
Event services include chip timing and post-race food after each stage. Early registrants may receive promotional items while supplies last; a custom mug is reserved for the first 200 registrants and Darn Tough Vermont socks are reserved for the first 250 series registrants. A hoodie is provided to all finishers of the entire stage race, with hoodie sizing guaranteed for registrations completed by October 25, 2026.
By registering, participants acknowledge that the race date, format, or location may be changed, switched to a virtual format, or canceled by the race directors; refunds, transfers, or deferrals will not be allowed unless otherwise stated.
