Gods Own BYU Fall
Gods Own BYU Fall is a Backyard Ultra format event held at Hunters Greave, Pollard Lane, Hawksworth, Leeds, LS5 3BF on 14 November 2026. Competitors set off on the hour every hour to complete a single loop of 4.167 mile. To continue to the next hour a competitor must complete the loop within that hour; runners who fail to finish a lap on time are recorded as DNF. The event continues until one competitor completes a loop alone and is declared the champion.
The course is not flat and includes elevation gain on each loop. Surfaces include canal towpath, farmland trail, woodland trail and tarmac paths. A separate night loop follows tarmac towpath to avoid a canal crossing after dark. The route is fully waymarked and marshalled.
Facilities at the start and finish include hot and cold water, fruit, sweets, toilets, first aid cover, camping and parking. Limited campervan space is available and must be pre-arranged. Participants receive a bespoke Yorkshire goodie bag; t-shirts and hoodies are available during the event. An aid station will provide basic refreshments but participants are advised to use the nutrition they have trained with. The event is part of the Backyard Ultra Series and follows the same format with a chance to win a place in Big Dog's Backyard Ultra through the BYU Championship. Minimum age is 18.
