Gods Own BYU Fall
Gods Own BYU Fall is a backyard ultra event held at Hunters Greave, Pollard Lane, Hawksworth, Leeds (LS5 3BF) on 14 November 2026. The event follows the Backyard Ultra format: competitors set off on the hour every hour to complete a 4.167 mile loop and must finish each loop within the hour to be eligible to start the next. The sequence continues until one competitor completes a lap alone and is declared the champion; all other competitors record a DNF.
The event is part of the Backyard Ultra Series and offers a pathway to a place in Big Dog’s Backyard Ultra through the BYU Championship. Entry details show an entry fee of £80.00, entries open 18 November 2025 and close 15 October 2026, and the minimum age is 18 or older. The entry list noted 103 participants at the time of the listing.
Facilities at the venue include camping, toilets, first aid cover, hot and cold water, fruit and sweets, and fully waymarked and marshalled routes. Organizers provide a bespoke Yorkshire goodie bag for all participants; t-shirts and hoodies are available during the event. The course is mixed terrain including canal towpath, farmland trail, woodland trail and tarmac; organizers state it is not flat and has elevation gain on each loop. Camping is available from the day before the event and limited campervan spaces must be pre-arranged.
