The 2026 St. Patty’s Leprechaun race takes place on March 14, 2026, at Old Mill Park in Fredericksburg, VA (2410 Caroline Street). Distances offered:

- 10k
Points from this event count toward the organizer’s Year-Long 5k, 10k, Kids, and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available. The event partners with the EOD Warrior Foundation. Registered participants receive a finisher’s medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before March 4. Race day registration and packet pickup are available at the event. Entry fees listed by the organizer: Kids 1-Miler $20; 5k $30 (rising to $35 after February 28); 10k $45 (rising to $50 after February 28). Prices increase on race morning.
Course, services, and results
The course uses a paved path along the Rappahannock River with a few small hills. The 5k is out-and-back; the 10k repeats the 5k course twice. Walkers and strollers are welcome. Water stations for the 10k are planned at approximately miles 1, 2.1, 3.1, 4.1, and 5.2; the 5k will have stations at about miles 1 and 2.1. Some stations will offer Gatorade. Restrooms are located near the park parking lot. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in standard age categories; overall top-three finishers are not eligible for age-group awards. Live results will be posted online and final results with series points will be published after the event. Photos taken by staff will be posted after the race.
