Event details
The St. Paddy's Leprechaun race takes place at Old Mill Park in Fredericksburg and offers three measured distances on a paved riverside path. The course runs alongside the Rappahannock River and includes a few small hills. The 5k is an out-and-back route and the 10k follows the 5k course twice. Restrooms and parking are available inside the park.

The event is chip timed and participants receive a finisher medal and a technical event shirt. Awards are given to the top three overall men and women and to first and second place in the listed age categories. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for runners registered by March 3; sizes for later registrations are limited. Race day registration is available but shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for those registrants.
There is a virtual race option. Walkers and strollers are welcome. Water stations are placed along the courses; the 10k course has five stations and the 5k course has two, with some stations offering Gatorade. The race awards series points toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, Kids and Back of the Pack Series as well as the Winter Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
