Course and race logistics
The course runs on a paved path alongside the Rappahannock River and includes a few small hills. The 5k is an out-and-back; the 10k completes the 5k course twice. The 10k has five water stations (approx. miles 1, 2.1, 3.1, 4.1, and 5.2); the 5k has two (approx. miles 1 and 2.1). Some stations will offer Gatorade. Restrooms are located near the park parking lot.
Packet pickup is available at the event; the organizer recommends arriving about one hour before the event to check in. Race day registration is available, but t-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for day-of registrants. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations received before March 4. Registration fees listed by the organizer include: Kids 1-Miler $20; 5k $30 (rises to $35 after February 28); 10k $45 (rises to $50 after February 28).
