St. Patrick School Family Fun Run
The St. Patrick School 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run is a community athletic event held in Onalaska, Wisconsin. Both courses start and end at St. Patrick School, located at 127 11th Avenue North. The event serves as a fundraiser with all proceeds directed toward the building fund for the St. Patrick Grade School.
Participants can choose between two different distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles) course for runners and walkers.
- 1 Mile course for runners and walkers.
The terrain for both routes is described as mostly flat, featuring a slight incline located near the finish line. Volunteers are stationed along the courses to provide direction to the participants. Both the 5K and the 1 Mile events are timed. Refreshments are provided for participants at the finish line.
The event includes a competitive element with various awards. Trophies are designated for the first-place male and female finishers in each race. Additionally, medals are presented to the first, second, and third-place finishers within each age category for both male and female participants. Registered participants receive a race packet that includes a t-shirt and a bib number. Early packet pickup is available at the school office in the days leading up to the event, while race-day pickup is organized in the school parking lot or gymnasium.
