St. Nektarios Taking Steps 5k is the 8th annual event on November 22, 2025, at St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church, 5108 Kuykendall Road, Charlotte, NC. The event lists 260 participants and names two beneficiary charities: Shelter Health Services and St. Hermione Home. Shelter Health Services has raised $985.07 toward a $15,000 goal; St. Hermione Home has raised $1,340.09 toward a $15,000 goal.
A post-race celebration takes place at the St. Nektarios Life Center with hot and cold drinks, snacks, Greek pastries, a medals presentation, and an awards ceremony. All finishers receive olive wood finisher medals that are hand-carved in Bethlehem.

The Dome Dash is a short course intended for all ages. The listing notes a combined price option for those 12 and under to enter both the 5K and Dome Dash for $20. A "Sleep In Supporter" option is available; it does not include in-person race entry but includes a shirt and finisher medal.
