St. Michael School 15th Annual 5K Turkey Trot
The event is the 15th annual St. Michael School 5K Turkey Trot held at St. Michael School in Penn Yan, New York. Proceeds benefit St. Michael School. Entry includes USATF certification for the 5K, professional timing by Falcon Race Timing, music, and post-race food. Check-in is at St. Michael School. The first 100 participants receive free t-shirts. Awards are given for overall top male and female and for age groups. Registration fees listed are $35.00 for the 5K and $5.00 for the kids run; registration opens October 4 and closes November 22.
Early race packet pickup is scheduled at St. Michael School on November 24 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Parking is available at the north end of Keuka Street near Penn Yan Academy High School and neighboring lots. The 5K uses an out-and-back course that starts at St. Michael School, heads north toward Penn Yan Academy, continues down Court Street to the end of Powell Lane and returns. There is a water station at the turn-around.
The kids fun run is a one quarter mile distance for children ages 10 and under. If a child aged 10 or under is registered for the 5K, the kids run is included; kids who take part in the fun run receive a medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
