About the race
The St. Louis Turkey Trot takes place on November 26, 2026 in Forest Park, St. Louis, Missouri, with start and finish at the Upper Muny parking area on Summit Drive. The event is part of the Missouri Runs Race Series and is included in the nationwide Thankful Turkey Run/Walk national leaderboard.

- 5K
- 8K
- Kids dash
The event is chip timed and the course is entirely on paved road. There are fun run and kids categories. Published course time limits are 1 hour 30 minutes for the 8K and 1 hour 20 minutes for the 5K. Awards are given to the top three male and female participants in each age group and overall; age groups begin at 10 and under and extend through 70 and older. All kids dash participants receive a finisher award.
Participant gear options include a classic t-shirt or an upgrade to a thin-tec soft polyester pullover. Strange Donuts are provided at the finish line. Water stations on course supply water; there is no gear check at the event site. Packet mailing is offered for a fee for a limited time, and a virtual category is available with virtual packets mailed after the event.
Logistics notes: parking on site is limited, on-site parking areas are specified, strollers are allowed for walkers and joggers only with a guardian waiver, dogs are not allowed, and all participants must sign an online waiver.
