Veterans Appreciation Run
The Veterans Appreciation Run takes place at Jefferson Barracks Park in Saint Louis, Missouri. This location is characterized by its military history and features a scenic, tree-lined course for participants. All proceeds from the event benefit The Kaufman Fund, a nonprofit organization that has supported veterans and their families in the Saint Louis region for over 30 years. The fund provides assistance regarding mental health services, housing support, food programs, dental care, and educational resources.

Participants may choose between an in-person race or a virtual option. Those opting for the virtual participation can complete the distance on their own schedule from any location. Field participants receive a commemorative medal, a race shirt, and a goody bag, which are mailed to those participating virtually.
The event includes a pre-race ceremony and a performance of the National Anthem. An awards ceremony is held following the conclusion of the run. To receive an award, recipients are required to be present at the ceremony as these items are not sent by mail.
