Run for ALD, Cure the Boys : 9th Annual
The Run for ALD, Cure the Boys is a fundraising event organized by Knockout ALD to support adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) research at the University of Minnesota Leukodystrophy Center. The 9th annual event is scheduled for November 22, 2025, near St. Louis at Tremayne Shelter, Creve Coeur Park, Maryland Heights, MO. The event offers both in-person and virtual options.

Registration has two pricing tiers: an early rate of $25 plus a processing fee and a later rate of $35 plus a processing fee; a shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed by October 22. Packet pickup is provided the day before at the organizer's address and on the morning of the event at Tremayne Shelter. A 5K course map is available. In-person 5K awards are given to the top three males and top three females overall, and medals are awarded to the top three males and top three females in age groups: 10 & under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50+. Teams and individual fundraising pages are part of the event structure. The organization states that 100% of funds raised from the event will directly benefit the University of Minnesota Leukodystrophy Center; lifetime funds raised have exceeded $300,000.
