Run for ALD, Cure the Boys is the 10th annual fundraising event organized by Knockout ALD to support research into adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). The event takes place on November 21, 2026, with an in-person location at Tremayne Shelter in Creve Coeur Park, Maryland Heights, Missouri, and a virtual participation option that can be completed remotely.
The event program includes both in-person and virtual options and offers event shirts for registrants who register by October 21 to guarantee a shirt. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at a Knockout ALD location and on race morning at Tremayne Shelter. Registration categories and fees are listed for in-person and virtual participation.
Awards are given for the in-person 5K: overall top three male and top three female finishers, plus medals for top three male and top three female finishers in age groups 10 & under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50+. Fundraising is a central part of the event; 100% of funds raised go to the University of Minnesota Leukodystrophy Center for ALD Research to support early identification and treatment research.
