Run for ALD, Cure the Boys : 10th Anniversary
Run for ALD, Cure the Boys is the 10th annual fundraising event organized by Knockout ALD. The event takes place on November 21, 2026, with an in-person location at Tremayne Shelter in Creve Coeur Park, Maryland Heights, Missouri, and a virtual participation option for those who wish to take part remotely.
The event offers multiple distance options:
- 5K run
- 1 mile walk
- Virtual 5K
- Virtual 1 mile
A free event t-shirt is included with both in-person and virtual registrations for participants who register by October 21. Packet pickup is available the day before at the Knockout ALD location in Chesterfield and on race morning at Tremayne Shelter. Awards for the in-person 5K include overall top three male and female finishers and medals for the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50 plus. Awards apply only to in-person 5K participants.
All funds raised by the event are directed to the University of Minnesota Leukodystrophy Center for ALD Research to support early identification and research into treatment options for adrenoleukodystrophy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
