St David's Day Run in Cardiff
The St David's Day Run takes place on 6 March 2027 at Coopers Field, Bute Park, Cardiff CF10 3DX. The event offers multiple distances around the park and includes a children's mini run described as for "little dragons."
Distances:
- 5 km one lap
- 10 km two laps
- Half marathon four laps plus an additional 1.1 km loop
- Mini run for children
The course uses park paths and is described as flat; road running shoes are recommended. Buggies are permitted and the route is wheelchair friendly. The course layout may be altered up to event day. Lap split times are provided for all participants and full race chip timing is used. All entrants receive a high quality medal, drinks and refreshments on the day, and some discount offers from the organiser and partners. A small number of trophies are available.
Two Welsh charities are partnered with the event, with a donation from each entry fee going to Cancer Research Wales and Kidney Wales. Limited charity places are available through the partner charities. Registration and race pack collection take place on the day at the event hub on Coopers Field. Facilities listed for the event include toilets at Coopers Field and bag storage next to the registration tents. Parking is available in and around the park but there is no parking within Bute Park. Marshals will be positioned around the course and runners are asked to stay on the left unless directed otherwise. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
