St Andrews Father's Day 5 Miler
This event in St Andrews, New Brunswick uses a certified course measured with a Jones counter and certified since 2008 under reference NB-2023-012-BDC. The race has been held since 1979; the course has remained largely the same with a 50 m change made in 2008 when re-measured.
The start and finish are beside Sir James Dunn Academy High School on Prince of Wales. The route begins with a downhill or flat first mile, a flat straight second mile along Water St, a third mile that is flat then includes a short downhill and a medium-steep 200 m hill, a fourth mile that is flat or slightly down followed by a sharp up near the arena, and a final mile that starts with a steep downhill toward Katy’s Cove, includes a steep climb by the Algonquin Hotel, and finishes with about 600 m downhill to the school.
