46th Edition St Andrews Father's Day 5 Miler

The 46th edition of the St Andrews Father's Day 5 Miler takes place in St Andrews, New Brunswick. The main event is a 5 mile race.

Participation Registration is online only. There is no race day registration for the 5 mile event. However, last-minute race day registration is available for the free kids' races. Entry fees vary based on date and membership status ($25 to $40 CAD).

Course The 5 mile course is certified and was re-measured in 2023. It is known as a challenging course. The start and finish are beside the Sir James Dunn Academy High School on Prince of Wales. The course description mentions initial flat/downhill sections, followed by several notable hills, including a steep, tough climb by the Algonquin Hotel, before a final 600-meter downhill to the finish.

Awards and Swag All 5 mile finishers receive a hand-crafted finisher medal. Overall and age group winners receive trophies. An award is also given to the first local male and female runner from Charlotte County. A free technical t-shirt is guaranteed for runners registered by June 1st. Refreshments and draw prizes are available post-race.

Other Activities Free kids' races, called "Small Strides, Healthy Lives," are offered over distances from 400m to 800m. No times are recorded for these races, only the place of finish. A charitable donation from the event proceeds goes to the Luxor Shriners of New Brunswick for their Transportation Fund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
