Boyden Lake Half-Marathon
The Boyden Lake event in Perry, Maine is a multi-discipline community event held at Pottle Tree Farm. The course is a loop around Boyden Lake and uses quiet roads and farm surroundings, passing forested areas and lakeshore views. The event offers running, walking, rucking, wheelchair/para competition, and team relay options. Proceeds and fundraising benefit three veteran-focused and community organizations: Achilles Freedom Team, House in the Woods, and The Travis Mills Foundation.
Aid stations are placed on the course and will supply water and Gatorade at four locations. The event includes a Para Division aligned with World Para Athletics divisions to support equitable competition for athletes with disabilities. Ruck participants must carry at least 35 pounds in a pack and must be 14 years or older; ruckers may choose the 5 mile course or the full 13.1 mile loop, and may participate solo or as part of a relay. Awards are scheduled for top finishers across gender and non-binary divisions, age groups, relay teams, and first ruck and walk finishers. Complete race-day information will be emailed to participants in advance.
