SSG Michael Ollis 5K Run & Walk : 10th Annual
The event on June 14, 2026 takes place in New Dorp, Staten Island at New Dorp Lane and South Railroad Avenue. The race uses a USTAF certified course and serves as the first leg of the Staten Island Triple Crown.
Multiple participation options are offered: an in-person 5K run and walk, a Triple Crown registration option, a virtual 5K, and volunteer opportunities. Registration and pricing vary by option. Race pricing for the in-person event is listed as $30 before May 1, $35 from May 1 through June 13, and $50 for race-day registration. A Triple Crown registration option is available with a listed fee of $75. Virtual registration is listed with a fee of $50. Volunteer registration is free. Registration opening and closing dates differ by option; some registration windows begin in February and March and some close in April or on June 14.
Race packets and bibs are available for pick-up at the SSG Michael Ollis VFW Post at 575 Mill Road on Thursday, June 11 and Friday, June 12, from 3pm to 8pm. Raffle and 50/50 tickets will be available, with winners selected after the race.
The event is organized by the SSG Michael Ollis Freedom Foundation, a not-for-profit organization. After payment of race expenses, proceeds are used by the foundation to provide assistance and support to combat veterans re-entering civilian life.
