2026 SSG Ollis 5K Run & Walk
The 10th Annual SSG Michael Ollis 5K Run & Walk takes place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in New Dorp, Staten Island. The event uses a USTAF Certified race course and serves as the first leg of the Staten Island Triple Crown. The race program includes a 5K Run & Walk, a Triple Crown registration option, and volunteer roles.
Registration, logistics and organizer
Registration has tiered pricing: before May 1 the fee is $30, May 1 to June 13 it is $35, and race-day registration is $50. A Triple Crown option offers a $5 discount on each of the three races; the Triple Crown includes the Firecracker 3-Mile Run and Michael's Cause Step for a Cure in September. Packet pick-up is at the SSG Michael Ollis VFW Post, 575 Mill Road, on Thursday, June 11 and Friday, June 12 from 3pm to 8pm. Raffle and 50/50 tickets will be available and winners will be selected after the race. A volunteer meeting is scheduled for Sunday, June 7 at the VFW Post; breakfast will be served and on-course roles will be reviewed. The event is organized by the SSG Michael Ollis Freedom Foundation, a not-for-profit; after expenses, proceeds support assistance for combat veterans re-entering civilian life.
