SSG Michael Ollis 5K Run & Walk
The SSG Michael Ollis 5K Run and Walk is an annual community event held in New Dorp, Staten Island. Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the race serves as a tribute to Staff Sergeant Michael Ollis. The event has grown to be one of the larger running events in the area, previously attracting nearly 1,000 participants including runners, walkers, and supporters.

- 2 mile walk
The course is located in Michael's hometown and is USTA certified. The route takes participants through the streets of New Dorp, which are typically used for local traffic but are designated for the race. The event draws a diverse group of participants and supporters, including representatives from the NYPD, FDNY, and the U.S. Armed Forces.
