SSAFA Cardiff 5K Road Race Series
The SSAFA Cardiff 5K Road Race Series is a three-race annual 5K road running event in Cardiff that raises funds for SSAFA South East Wales. Entrants may enter one, two, or all three races. The series is open to all runners, including young and older participants, club members and individual runners.
The event is organised as a competitive series under UK and Welsh Athletics rules and is listed on the CAAC calendar. The 2026 race dates are Wednesday 20 May, Wednesday 3 June and Wednesday 22 July. The series was founded in 1998.
Race headquarters are at the Blackweir Tavern on North Road, Cardiff. The nearest train station is Cathays, a short walk from the venue. Parking at the Blackweir Tavern is limited; pay and display facilities are available further along North Road. For drivers, approaching the nearby car park from the direction away from the city centre is noted as easier given typical traffic at that time of day.
