Conquer Cardiff Summer 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon
The Conquer Cardiff Summer event takes place in Bute Park, Cardiff. This location encompasses 130 acres of landscaped gardens that were previously the grounds of Cardiff Castle. The event features a lapped course set on the park's flat pathways, passing through the various sights of the park during the summer season.
Participants can choose from three different distance options:
- 5k: Consists of 1 loop of the course.
- 10k: Consists of 2 loops of the course.
- Half Marathon: Consists of just over 4 loops of the course.
All participants receive chip-timed results, including split times for each completed lap. The course is fully marshalled and includes water stations and aid stations to support runners. On-site facilities include a bag drop area located next to the registration tents and toilets situated at Cooper's Field within the park.
The event provides a finisher's medal for those who complete their distance, and trophies are awarded to winners. Snacks and drinks are also provided. Registration and race pack collection occur on the day of the event at the venue.
Bute Park is accessible by public transport, with Cardiff Central Station located approximately a 10 minute walk away. While there is no parking directly inside the park, pay-and-display parking and NCP car parks are available in the surrounding city center areas.
