Mendips Epic Trail is a trail running and rucking event organised by Superhuman Sports at off The Vinery, Winscombe BS25 1AZ, United Kingdom. The event takes place on Saturday June 6, 2026 and uses paths from Winscombe Rugby Club, including the Strawberry Line, King’s Wood, Wavering Down and Crook Peak.
Two route distances are offered:
- 8 km route via Strawberry Line to Wavering Down and back.
- 14 km route continuing to Crook Peak with additional ridge and summit sections.
Each distance is available in four categories: Pro Trail, Open Trail, Pro Ruck and Open Ruck. Pro Ruck weights are 25 lbs (11.3 kg) for men and 15 lbs (6.8 kg) for women. Open Ruck weights are 15 lbs (6.8 kg) for men and 10 lbs (4.5 kg) for women. Participants use a provided GORUCK Rucker 4.0 backpack for ruck entries and personal backpacks are not permitted.
Event facilities include a bag drop, water stations (typically one to two depending on distance), toilets, food and drink vendors, photographers on the route, and finisher patches or medals. Pro categories are sub‑divided into age groups: Open (35 or below), Masters (36 to 42) and Vets (43 and over).
