Sri Chinmoy New Year's Day Half-Marathon
The Sri Chinmoy New Year's Day Half-Marathon is held on January 1, 2027 in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens, New York. The event is a USATF certified and accurately measured half-marathon course, certification number NY22047DNB.
The course is a scenic, pancake-flat loop that starts near the intersection of Avenue of Commerce and Avenue of Progress and passes the Unisphere, Queens Museum of Art and the Fountain of the Planets. The race format is one 0.36-mile start loop plus ten 1.274-mile main loops, with mile signs posted every mile and all laps counted.
On-course support and amenities include aid stations every mile, a main aid station next to Race-Day Central supplying water and Skratch Hydration, bag check, free parking near Race-Day Central, custom long-sleeve race tops, custom finisher medals for all finishers, and free race photos. A post-race pancake breakfast is provided with toppings such as real maple syrup and whipped cream. Packet shipping is available for a fee of $7.25 and packets ship in bulk on December 20 for those who select shipping.
Registration fees vary by date: $50 through December 4, $58 through December 22, and $65 through December 30. Participants must be 16 years or older on race day. The event enforces a 3 hour time limit, equivalent to a 13:45 per mile minimum pace, with a noon cutoff.
