Event
The Sri Chinmoy 24 & 12-Hour Races take place June 13-14, 2026 at Rockland Lake State Park in Congers, NY. The program includes multiple events:
- 24-Hour run
- 12-Hour run
- Midnight Marathon
- Sunset Half-Marathon
Registration closes June 10. There is no race-day registration and entries cannot be transferred. Race shirts are guaranteed for participants registered by May 13. Participants must be 18 or older on race day.
Course and logistics
Races use a certified, paved loop of 2.95 miles around Rockland Lake. The loop is flat, was repaved a few years ago, and is roughly half shaded and half exposed. Marathon distance requires just under nine laps. Lighting on course is minimal after dark; headlamps are recommended. A cyclist will patrol the course overnight and park police will be on site; the park is closed to the public overnight except for event participants and staff.
Timing is chip-based with a manual backup. Runners must display their bib on the front each time they pass the counting station. Two on-loop aid stations are located at +1.15 miles and +2.34 miles.
Support, facilities and rules
There is one main aid station in the staging area and two basic water-only stations on the loop. Main aid is vegetarian with some vegan options; food is prepared off-site and cannot be customized or reheated. Helpers must bring their own food. No alcohol or pets are allowed in the park. Rest areas may be set up on the grass past the lap counting station; fully enclosable tents and camping are not permitted. RVs are allowed in the parking lot without hookups with advance notice to organizers. Medical staff will be on-site for emergencies only. Medals are given to all finishers; awards are grouped by age and gender for the timed events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
