Bi-State Challenge
The Bi-State Challenge is a running event held across two parks in New Jersey and New York during June 2026. The event pairs a marathon at one park with a second marathon at another park, and it also offers half marathon and 5K options. Races are organized around two locations: Saddle River County Park in Rochelle Park, New Jersey, and Rockland Lake State Park in Valley Cottage, New York. Registration follows event-specific categories and there is a single registration deadline in early June 2026.
Distances and race categories include:
- Zip Code 07662 Marathon - 26.2 miles at Saddle River County Park, NJ
- Zip Code 07662 Half Marathon - 13.2 miles at Saddle River County Park, NJ
- XCelsior Marathon - 26.2 miles at Rockland Lake State Park, NY
- XCelsior Half Marathon - 13.1 miles at Rockland Lake State Park, NY
- Zip Code 07662 5K - 5 km at Saddle River County Park, NJ
- XCelsior 5K - 5 km at Rockland Lake State Park, NY
The Bi-State Challenge designation combines the two marathon routes as a combined entry option for participants who run both marathons. Event details, fee categories, and specific registration rules are set by the organizer and apply per category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
