SRC Presents: A Backyard Ultra takes place at Blydenburgh County Park in Hauppauge, New York on December 12-13, 2026. The event offers a backyard ultra format plus a single-lap option and donates a portion of proceeds to the Long Island Greenbelt Trail Conference.

In the backyard ultra format, participants run the 4.167-mile loop every hour on the hour and must drop out if they cannot complete the loop within that hour. The last competitor able to complete a full loop is declared the winner. The backyard ultra entry fee is $85.00; The 1 Lapper entry fee is $20.00. Registration windows differ: backyard ultra registration opens 2026-09-03 and closes 2026-09-07, while The 1 Lapper registration opens 2026-09-04 and closes 2026-09-07.
Bib numbers are assigned at check in. Early bib pickup is available at Smithtown Running Company on Thursday, December 10 (11:00 am to 7:00 pm) and Friday, December 11 (11:00 am to 5:00 pm). Race morning bib pickup begins at 6:30 am at the start/finish area. There are no on-site sign ups the morning of December 12. There are no refunds; organizers suggest purchasing event insurance.
