Squatchywaska Mountainfest takes place in Ellenville, NY on April 25, 2026. Distances offered include:

Course and logistics
Both distances are mountain trail routes on the Shawangunk Ridge with technical singletrack, carriage roads, cliffs, and polished ledges. The course includes pitch pines, huckleberry, mountain laurel, and views toward the Catskills and Verkeerder Kill Falls. Elevation gain is listed as over 2,500 ft for the 25K and over 1,800 ft for the 10 Miler. Both events have a six hour cutoff.
Mandatory gear required at all times includes a charged cell phone, a water bottle or hydration pack (recommended at least 1.5 L), at least 300 extra calories, a whistle, and a GPX of the course on a phone or device. Recommended items include poles, an external battery, headlamp and batteries, warm hat or gloves, wipes, and a ziploc for trash. The race is not recommended for participants under 16. Aid station items include hydration from Skratch and snacks; portajohns are available at the start/finish only. Pacers or guides are permitted for participants over 60 and athletes with disabilities with prior registration.
