Monticello Teachers' Tinsel Trot 5K
The Monticello Teachers' Association presents the 12th Annual Tinsel Trot 5k on December 5, 2026 in Rock Hill, New York. Proceeds provide scholarships for Monticello students and benefit local charity. For the past 11 years the event has raised funds to support local charities and Monticello High School students.
The event offers multiple distances and a separate children’s race. The Reindeer Dash is a free 200 m race for children aged 10 and under and requires adult supervision. Registration for the 3.1 mile events opens August 9, 2026 and closes November 7, 2026; the registration fee is $30.00. The children’s dash has a separate registration window and no fee.
Course description: the route begins at the stop sign between Dutch's Tavern and the Rock Hill Trading Post. Participants turn left onto Lake Louise Marie Road, then right onto North Emerald, continue to a turnaround just before Old Sackett Road, and return to finish at the end of Lake Louise Marie Road.
