Event overview
The Ponteland Sprint Triathlon takes place on Sunday 17 May 2026 at Ponteland Leisure Centre, Great Britain. The event is organised by Ponteland Tri Club. It forms part of the North East Regional Grand Prix and the Northern Trier Race Series. Marshals will support competitors and there are overall and age-group prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
Race format
- 400 m pool swim (6 lanes)
- 20 km bike around the surrounding area
- 5 km run on tarmac/pavement
Entries and event details
There are individual and relay entry options. Individual entry fees range from £49 to £55 and relay fees range from £59 to £65. Non-BTF members must purchase a BTF Day Race Pass before the event. Registration closes 16 May 2026 at 23:59 and there are 138 remaining places. The organiser offers optional t-shirts made from eco materials, water at the finish in eco-cups, recycled-metal medals and wooden trophies.
