Sprint Tri Ponteland 2027
Sprint Tri Ponteland 2027 is a pool based sprint triathlon organised by Ponteland Tri Club at Ponteland Leisure Centre. The leisure centre opened in 2020 and offers a swimming pool with spectator access and general facilities.
Distances for the event are:
- 400 m pool swim, six lanes
- 20 km bike, undulating, tarmac
- 5 km run, flat, tarmac
The transition area is located next to the main car park, measures about 75 m, and has separate entrance and exit positions for the bike and run. The event is listed as part of the North East Regional Grand Prix and the Northern Trier Race Series. Expected competitor number is 165. The permit for the event is in progress and the required documentation has been submitted for review.
The organiser’s entry conditions note a no refund policy after 24 April and that transfers are accepted up to and including 7 May.
