Run Northumberland BIG 10 Miler - Matfen, 29 November 2026
The BIG 10 Miler is a two lap, undulating road race around the village of Matfen. The course uses public roads with planned road closures to provide a traffic free route and finishes on the village by‑pass near the start area. Distance markers are provided every mile and bottled water is available approximately every 3 miles. Chip timing is provided by Timing4Sport.
Race headquarters and registration are based at Matfen Village Hall, which also hosts bag drop and post-race refreshments. Toilets are located near the start and finish area and changing facilities are available. Parking is on the village by‑pass opposite Matfen Hall. First aid cover will be provided.
Entries are limited to 300 and the minimum age to enter is 17. Entry fees are listed as £25 for affiliated runners and £27 for unaffiliated runners. Entries close on 23 November 2026. Prizes include a finisher medal, individual vouchers for the top three male and female finishers, veteran age group prizes in W35+ and M40+ five year bands (subject to a minimum number of finishers), and club team prizes where three runners finish in official vests.
