Sunderland 10k 29 November 2026
The Sunderland 10k and accompanying junior races take place on Roker Seafront, with the start and finish at Pier Point on Marine Walk. The main event is a 10 km route that runs partly on closed roads and partly along the seafront promenade, and it includes a lap of Roker Park. The course is described as mostly flat with gentle undulations and 56 m of elevation gain, and distance markers and marshals are positioned throughout.
Included with entry are a unique themed finisher medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, post-race goodies and a bag drop. Race packs are posted to entrants who register by 15 November; later entries collect their packs at registration on race day. There is a 90 minute cut-off for the 10k due to road closures.
Practical information highlights public transport links and local parking options near the event village at Pier Point. Accessible viewing areas and spectator space along the seafront are provided. On-course marshals, clear signage and a water station around 5 km are in place to support runners. Junior races take place later in the morning, allowing families to attend both events on the same day.
