Event Information
The Spring Sprint is a running event in Alcoa, Tennessee, held on April 18, 2026. The event is based at the Springbrook Recreation Center on Dalton Street.
Distances and Format
The event offers two primary distances: a traditional 5K run and a 1-mile fun run/walk. A virtual 5K option is also available to run anywhere between April 11 and April 19, 2026.
Participation and Series
This event is the first race in the 2026 Healthy Blount Triple Crown of Running series. Participants who complete all three traditional series events are eligible for cash awards, door prizes, and a special memento. Participants in the Reindeer Run and at least one other event are eligible for door prize drawings. A portion of the race proceeds supports Blount County's Special Olympics program and the Leon Berrong Scholarship Fund.
Race Details
Packet pickup is available on the Thursday before the race at a local sporting goods store or on race day. All participants receive a t-shirt, with supplies for day-of-race entries limited. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each age group, and all fun run/walk participants receive a ribbon. Door prize drawings are held for race participants.
Guidelines
Baby strollers, bicycles, roller blades, and dogs are not allowed on the course. The use of headsets is not recommended due to traffic. The RaceJoy mobile app is available for live tracking and progress alerts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
