Spring Into Spring Glen 5K
Spring Into Spring Glen is a community fundraising event held at Spring Glen School, 1908 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, Connecticut on May 17, 2026. The event is organized by the school PTA to raise funds for in-school activities such as author and artist visits, teacher appreciation, and need-based scholarships for after-school programs.
The event program includes several distance options:
- 5K run (timed 5 kilometer race)
- 2.5 mile fitness walk (walking-only option)
- Kids' fun run (approximately 580 yards)
- Virtual 5K (remote participation option)
Standard registration fees are listed as $30 for most adult events and $5 for the Kids' Fun Run. A t-shirt is available for an additional cost; registrations received after May 3 will not receive a t-shirt. Registration opens April 4, and registrations may remain open through Race Day with higher fees for Race Day registration. A coupon code for 10 percent off orders of $100 or more is noted in event materials.
The school parking lot will be closed to vehicles on Race Day except for approved food vendors, sponsors hosting a table, and those requiring handicapped access.
