Spring Into Spring Glen 5K

Spring Into Spring Glen is a community fundraising event held at Spring Glen School, 1908 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06517. The event is organized by the school PTA to support in-school activities and programs, including author and artist visits, teacher appreciation, and need-based scholarships for after-school programs.

The event program includes multiple participation options:

• 5K run
• 2.5 mile fitness walk
• 580 yard kids fun run
• Virtual 5K

Registration opens April 4, 2026. Fees listed for the events include a $30 registration fee for the 5K run, the 2.5 mile fitness walk, and the virtual 5K, and a $5 fee for the kids fun run. Registrations received after May 3 will not receive a t-shirt. The kids fun run also notes that a t-shirt may be purchased for an additional cost.

On Race Day the school parking lot will be closed to vehicles except for approved food vendors, sponsors hosting a table, and those requiring handicapped access; nearby parking is available. Friends and family who do not run or walk may take part through donations and by adding their name to the Friends & Family Banner on Race Day.
