The West Rock Winter Fat Ass Extravaganza
The event is an eight hour looped run at Lake Wintergreen in Hamden, CT. Participants run repeated laps of a 1.6 mile loop and tally their own laps on a central board.
There is one aid station on the course. Organizers will provide water, electrolytes, soup and/or grilled cheese or quesadillas, plus soda options and a variety of snack foods including candy, chips, pretzels and fruit. Pizza will also be available. Runners may choose to support themselves instead of relying on the provided food and drink.
Each loop has about 65 feet of elevation gain. The event takes place regardless of rain or snow. Entry is limited to 50 runners.
