Event overview
The Frosty 5K is the 40th annual New Year’s Day race in Guilford, Connecticut, hosted by the Guilford Rotary Club on January 1, 2026. The event starts and finishes on the Guilford Green and the course passes the town green, marina, and fairgrounds. The race benefits local community programs.

Registration and packet pick-up
Registration is available online only and is open through the morning of race day. Online prices increase after December 25, 2025. Registered participants may collect bibs and race packets at The Market Place, 77 Whitfield St, Guilford (Wednesday, December 31, 10:00-15:00), or at the Nathanael B. Greene Community Center on race day. The community center address is 32 Church St, Guilford, CT 06437.
Fees, shirts and awards
- 5K and 2M Walk adult and under-18 online fee: $35 until December 25, 2025; $40 from December 26 through January 1, 2026.
- Family group registration (up to 4 people) receives a $5 per person discount until December 31, 2025.
- Kids Fun Run fee: $10; includes a Frosty Fun Run tee shirt and participation ribbons.
Long-sleeved tech shirts are available as an optional add-on for 5K and walk entrants, subject to size availability. Awards include overall first male and female, first male and female from Guilford, and top male and female finishers in each age group; age groups include 12 & under through 80+. Fun Run participants receive finisher ribbons and cotton long-sleeve shirts.
Post-race
Post-race awards and refreshments, including hot clam chowder, will be provided at the Nathanael B. Greene Community Center.
