Frosty Forest 5K
The Frosty Forest 5K is a trail event on December 19, 2026, held at Roosevelt Forest in Stratford, Connecticut, at 700 Peters Lane. The event covers a 5K distance on forest trails and takes participants off road and into a natural setting.
The course is on trails and participants may run, jog, hike, or walk. Holiday costumes are permitted, and the organizer notes that a little trail experience is required. Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female finishers. All finishers receive a custom commemorative medallion.
Event logistics include a pavilion that serves as the only aid station and the pavilion is also the location for bib and packet pickup. Parking at the main lot is small; larger vehicles should use the side lot and RVs are not allowed.
A portion of proceeds supports local organizations such as the Roosevelt Forest Commission, the Veteran's Museum, and the Stratford Library. Registration is final: there are no refunds, bib transfers, or deferrals. CDC, state, and town requirements are applied. The event is limited in size and is by race director invitation only.
