Event Details

The Spring Fever trail running event takes place on April 11, 2026, at Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, Massachusetts. This year features a "Reverse the Course, Reverse the Curse" edition, with the course run in the opposite direction. Runners can choose from three distances: a 5K, a 5M, or an 8-Hour Ultra.

Distances

  • 5K: The course loops around Prospect Hill and returns to the campground. It is mostly trail with about one mile of pavement and approximately 150 feet of elevation gain.
  • 5M: This distance shares its route with the 8-Hour option. It is mainly trail with some pavement and about 350 feet of elevation gain.
  • 8H: Participants run the 5-mile loop as many times as possible within 8 hours. A final lap must be started by 2:50 PM. Participation is limited to 30 runners.

Course & Logistics

All races start and finish at the Wompatuck State Park campgrounds. Start times are staggered, beginning at 8:00 AM. There are no time cutoffs for the 5K or 5M races. Every finisher receives a custom award for their distance. Those who register before March 25th will also receive exclusive race swag.

A community food and drink table with various dietary options is available at the start/finish. An on-course aid station with water and snacks is located approximately 3.5 miles into the 5-mile loop and 1.5 miles into the 5K. An area for drop bags is provided for 8-hour runners near the finish line.
