AM Caravans Castle 5K Race 3
The event is part of a Castle 5K series held at The Sheepmount, Carlisle, Great Britain. The organiser lists both 5 km and 10 km options for the event. The officially measured course is 5 km and uses a mixture of park paths, pavements and quiet roads that are mainly flat with generally good road surfaces.
The route begins with a loop of Bitts Park, passes Carlisle Castle where runners complete two laps, then returns to Sheepmount Stadium with a finish close to the small grandstand. Caution is advised at all turns; competitors should follow marshal instructions and be aware of cars and cyclists.
A full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate will be on display at event HQ on race day in accordance with UKA rules (Permit No TBA). Course records are noted as male 00:14:54 and female 00:16:28. Prize awards include overall 1st to 3rd male and female and age-group prizes; age-group prize distribution depends on the number of competitors and age-group prizes are paid by BACS within seven days.
The event lists a series sponsor for 2026, AM Caravans, a Carlisle-based dealer of used touring caravans and motorhomes offering sales and servicing. The event is reported as sold out with no remaining places. Withdrawals one month prior are subject to a 50% charge; after that date no refunds are given.
