AM Caravans Castle 5K Race 3 : Sheepmount Carlisle
The event is a measured running meeting held at Sheepmount Stadium in Carlisle and uses a mixture of park paths, pavements and quiet roads. The course is mainly flat and the road surfaces are generally good. The route includes a loop of Bitts Park, two laps around Carlisle Castle, and a return to Sheepmount Stadium with the finish close to the small grandstand. Caution is advised at all turns and runners should follow marshals and the race director's instructions.

Entry categories include affiliated and unaffiliated adult and junior options, and multi-race entries for a series of three races. Prize presentation provides 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall male and female awards, with age group prizes paid by BACS within seven days and awarded according to the number of competitors in each category. If an age group athlete places in an overall prize position, the age group prize rolls down.
A full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate will be on display at event headquarters in accordance with UKA rules. The withdrawal policy applies a 50% charge for cancellations made within one month of the event; no refunds are issued after that date. Results are posted online shortly after the race.
