Course and logistics
The course uses a mixture of park paths, pavements and quiet roads that are mainly flat with generally good road surfaces. The route begins with a loop of Bitts Park, proceeds past Carlisle Castle with two laps around the castle, then returns to Sheepmount Stadium to finish close to the small grandstand. The 5 km route is officially measured. A full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate will be on display at the event headquarters on race day.
Prizes, results and entry conditions
Overall prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female. Age group prizes are paid by BACS within seven days and are allocated by category size: 1 place for 1-17 competitors, 2 places for 18-27, and 3 places for 28 or more. Any age group competitor who also places overall will receive the overall prize and the age group prize will roll down. Withdrawals made one month before the event incur a 50% charge; after that date no refunds are given. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
