Carlisle Tri Club Triathlon
The Carlisle Tri Club Triathlon is a sprint-distance multisport event based at the Sands Centre in Great Britain. The competition utilizes the swimming pool at the refurbished facility and follows a course that transitions through various local landmarks. Participants who are not members of the British Triathlon Federation are required to obtain a race pass to compete.
The event consists of three primary segments:
- 500m swim in the Sands Centre indoor pool.
- 20.4km bike leg featuring an out-and-back route to the Carlisle Airport ring road.
- 4.9km run that crosses Eden Bridge into Rickerby Park for a short loop.
The run course includes a passage over the Memorial Bridge before returning to the Sands Centre. The event is chip-timed, and all participants receive their timing chips and race numbers during the registration period on the day of the event. All finishers receive a bespoke medal upon completion of the course. Registration is open for both individual participants and relay teams.
