Event details
The event takes place on 20 May 2026 at The Sheepmount, Carlisle, Great Britain. The race distance is 5 km. Registration closes 18 May 2026. Entry options include single-race affiliated and unaffiliated entries, U16 junior entries, and multi-race series packages. Prices in the source range from £11 for an U16 single entry to £70 for an unaffiliated series entry, plus booking fees. One race in the five-race series may be completed virtually for entrants who plan to do all five races.
Course, safety and prizes
The course uses a mixture of park paths, pavements and quiet roads that are mainly flat with generally good surfaces. The route begins with a loop of Bitts Park, returns to Carlisle Castle for two laps, then heads back to Sheepmount Stadium with the finish near the small grandstand. The route is an officially measured 5 km and a full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate will be on display at event headquarters. Race numbers are issued at race registration. Athletes are asked to follow race director and marshal instructions and to be aware of cars and cyclists.
Prize awards include overall 1st to 3rd places for male and female categories and age-group prizes. Age-group prize levels vary by number of competitors; age-group payments are made by BACS within seven days. Withdrawals made one month prior are subject to a 50% charge; after that date no refunds are given. Results will be published online after the race.
