Sport In Action 10K
The event takes place on Sunday 20 September 2026 at The Sheepmount, Carlisle, Great Britain. It is a single distance run of 10 km on an officially measured and certified course by the Association of UK Course Measurers.
The route uses a mixture of park paths and quiet country roads. Surfaces are described as generally okay and the course is generally flat or gently undulating. Caution is advised at turns and competitors should follow marshal and race director instructions and be aware of cars and cyclists. The finish is located very close to the start.
A full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate will be on display at the event headquarters on race day. Race numbers and timing chips will be issued at registration. Results are published on the Timing Up North results site.
Prizes are awarded for overall male and female first to third places and for age group winners. Age group prize allocation depends on the number of competitors in the group: 1 to 17 competitors receive first place only, 18 to 27 receive first and second, and 28 or more receive first to third. If an age group finisher also places in an overall prize position that overall prize is awarded and the age group prize is rolled down.
The entry fee is £21.00 plus a £0.50 and 5% processing fee. Registration closes 19 September 2026. Withdrawals before 20 August 2025 are subject to a 50 percent charge; after that date no refunds are given. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
