Sport In Action 10K

Sport In Action 10K is scheduled for 20 September 2026 at The Sheepmount in Carlisle, Great Britain. The course is an officially measured and certified 10 km route by the Association of UK Course Measurers.

The route uses a mixture of park paths and quiet country roads. Surfaces are generally described as okay and the terrain is generally flat or gently undulating. The finish is located very close to the start. Runners are asked to follow race officials' instructions and to take care around turns because of road users including cars and cyclists.

Event administration details include on-site race registration where race numbers and timing chips are issued. A full course risk assessment will be on display at the event headquarters on race day together with route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate in accordance with UK Athletics rules. A race safety briefing will take place at the start line.

Prizes are awarded for overall male and female 1st to 3rd places and for age groups, with the number of age group prizes depending on the number of competitors in each category. Overall prize positions take precedence and age group prizes will roll down accordingly. Course record times are listed as male 00:32:52 and female 00:37:39.

Additional practical details from the organiser include a listed entry fee of £21.00 plus applicable fees, a withdrawal policy with a 50% refund cut off date of 20 August 2025 and no refunds after that date, and that results are published by the official timing provider.
