Sport In Action 10K : The Sheepmount Carlisle
Sport In Action 10K is scheduled for Sunday 20 September 2026 at The Sheepmount, Carlisle, Great Britain. The event is an officially measured and certified 10 km course by the Association of UK Course Measurers; the measurement certificate and race permit will be available for inspection at the event HQ.
The route uses a mixture of park paths and quiet country roads. Surfaces are generally in acceptable condition and the terrain is mostly flat or gently undulating. Runners should take care at turns and follow marshal instructions. The finish is located very close to the start area.
A race safety briefing will take place at the start line and a full course risk assessment and route maps will be on display at the event HQ. Results are published through the event timing provider.
Prizes are awarded for overall male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Age group prizes follow tiered rules: categories with 1 to 17 competitors award 1st place only; 18 to 27 competitors award 1st and 2nd; 28 or more competitors award 1st, 2nd and 3rd. If an age group competitor also wins an overall prize, the age group prize rolls down to the next eligible finisher. The overall 3rd place prize will not be less than the age group winner.
The entry fee is £21.00 plus a fee of £0.50 and 5% per participant. Registration closes 19 September 2026. The withdrawal policy states refunds up until 20 August 2025 are subject to a 50% charge; after that date no refunds are given. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
