Sport in Action 10k - The Sheepmount, Carlisle
The Sport in Action 10k is scheduled for 20 September 2026 at The Sheepmount in Carlisle, Great Britain. The event uses an officially measured and certified course by the Association of UK Course Measurers; the measurement certificate, race permit and route maps will be available at the event headquarters.
The distance offered is 10 km. Race numbers and timing chips are issued at race registration. A risk assessment for the course will be on display at the event headquarters on race day. A race safety briefing will take place at the start line before racing.
Prizes are awarded for overall male and female 1st to 3rd places, and for age groups with the following allocation: where an age group has 1 to 17 competitors only 1st place is awarded; 18 to 27 competitors receive 1st and 2nd place; 28 or more competitors receive 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Any competitor who places in the overall top three will receive the overall prize and the corresponding age group prize will roll down to the next eligible finisher. The overall third place prize will not be less than the age group winner.
Entry fee for the 10 km is £21.00 plus a fee of £0.50 and 5% per participant. Registration closes 19 September 2026. Withdrawals until 20 August 2025 are subject to a 50% charge; after that date no refunds are given. Live results will be published online.
