Sport In Action 10K

Sport In Action 10K takes place on 20 September 2026 at The Sheepmount in Carlisle, Great Britain. The event features a certified 10 km course that has been measured and certified by the Association of UK Course Measurers.

The route uses a mixture of park paths and quiet country roads. The terrain is generally flat or gently undulating and road surfaces are described as generally okay. Runners should take care at turns and follow marshals and the race director’s instructions, and be aware of the possibility of cars and cyclists on parts of the route. The finish is located very close to the start.

Race administration information provided for competitors includes a full course risk assessment, maps of the route, the race permit, and the measurement certificate on display at event headquarters. A route map is available for participants. Results are published online by the event timing provider.

Prizes are awarded to overall male and female first, second and third. Age group prizes follow a structured scale: 1 to 17 competitors earn 1st place only; 18 to 27 competitors earn 1st and 2nd places; 28 or more competitors earn 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. If an age group athlete wins an overall prize, that age group prize rolls down. The overall third place prize will not be less than the age group winner.

The published course records are 00:32:52 for men and 00:37:39 for women. The event’s withdrawal policy states that withdrawals up to 20 August 2025 are subject to a 50% charge and after that date no refunds are given. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
