Speyside Way Ultras
The Speyside Way Ultras offer two organised trail race options along the Speyside Way in Scotland on 15 August 2026. Runners can choose between a 50 km route and a 100 km route that follows the Speyside Way from Aviemore to the coast at Buckie.

The 50 km route follows the Speyside Way from Tamdhu Distillery to Buckie town centre. The course passes whisky country towns, includes sections on Ben Aigen, road running to Fochabers, a winding trail to Spey Bay, and forestry trails before the coastal finish. The route is described as largely runnable with a net downhill profile.
The 100 km option starts in Aviemore, follows the Cairngorms section of the Speyside Way, and joins the 50 km course at Tamdhu Distillery to continue to Buckie. The 100 km includes an additional mountainous section before rejoining the main route.
Entry is open to participants aged over 18. Entry limits and fees are specified per distance with a maximum of 50 places for the 100 km and 250 places for the 50 km. Cutoff times are set for each distance and an official race handbook and GPX route files will be provided to competitors in advance.
Volunteer roles are organised for marshalling, catering, and event support, with incentives for volunteers during the event day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
